DAD has moved to Southern California - to be a grandfather! Yes, the gift of life continues in the form of a precious granddaughter, one Katirin Elizabeth - Katie. Meg and Bob are wonderful parents - and DAD is a proud Papouli (Greek for "dear grandfather"). Many joys, laughs, giggles and delights. You can be sure "The World According to Papouli for Grandparents" is not far behind. DAD continues to write from the heart, most notable is "The World According to Dad for Parents;" "Warning: Adulthood May Be Hazardous To Your Health;" and a fiction thriller "Beijing 2008." He also continues to make movies. First up for '007 is a documentary on the American phenomenon of "pumpkin chucking," where grown men and women (and young folks, too!) conceive and build catapults, trebuchets, canons and more to see who can throw an 8lb. pumpkin the furthest. Should be lots of fun - watch for more this coming Fall. Let's make '007 the best year yet!
The tragedies of Hurricane Katrina in 2004 touched us all and the degree of human response has been heartwarming. DAD donated 6,000 books to the Boys and Girls Club of America nationwide; 1,000 books to KidzKare in Louisiana; 100 to Love the ChildrenUSA; 100 to Happy Hill Farm; and another 100 books to The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp in Connecticut. "Give a man a fish, and he can feed his family for a day. Teach a man to fish, and he can feed his family for a lifetime." DAD keeps on teaching!
